I am a strange sort of person who loves the time of the year when the days get shorter. I like having less daylight to do things and more time inside relaxing, and I would take the cold of winter over the hot and sticky of summer any day (well, up to a point).
I also happen to love parties, and dressing up for parties and eating at parties…
So I am excited for the second annual Iowa Writers Collaborative holiday shin-dig, held as a “thank you” for our paid subscribers. This year, it will be at the hip and architecturally interesting Harkin Institute on the Drake Campus. You can RSVP at the form below (only available to paid subscribers).

IWC Holiday Party
When: December 13, 2024, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Where: Harkin Institute, 2800 University Ave., Des Moines.
What: Appetizers, a short program, and great conversation. A chance to meet Iowa Writers’ Collaborative writers, check out a super cool building, and perhaps best of all, mingle with some dang great Iowans.
