I bet there are a lot of things that AI does well. But writing songs apparently is not one of them. [Which, FYI is a good time to plug the Okoboji Writers’ Retreat—this year there is going to be a songwriting track!]
I designed the flyer below on Canva. And while I was working, I noticed that there was an option to “Transform your Doc” into a summary, email, blog post or, a song.
A song? I thought. Heck yeah. I want to see my flyer in a song—don’t you?
So first, here is my flyer (yeah, I still don’t love it but it was time to be done after hours of working on it). This is the front:
And this is the back:
And this is the song AI concocted from the above—our very own Whippoorwill Creek Farm flyer song!! I hope you will all learn it and sing it proudly, to whatever tune you can squeeze it into.
In fact, I’d like to challenge you all to make a video of you and/or your people singing our song! Send it via Instagram @whippoorwill_creek_farm and the best rendition will win an overnight stay at the farm!!
Out in Lovilia, IA, where the cornfields sway,
Ringing out a number, 641-891-4950, in the break of day.
On that iowa-farm.com, where the heart feels calm,
Life seems to be singing, a midwestern psalm.
🎤 Chorus:
We got classes, under the sun's glasses,
Cooking and writing, it's all so inviting,
🎸 Verse 2:
Beef and goat, on the menu note,
1/4, 1/2 and whole, that's what I wrote.
Steak and ground bundles, without any fumbles,
Individual cuts, worth all the struggles.
🎤 Chorus:
And we got farm stays, amidst the golden hay,
Oh, Whippoorwill Creek Farm, I wouldn't have it any other way.
The best song ever? Definitely not. But I do love the idea of AI having concocted this “midwestern psalm.”

I really like your columns and even though you didn’t ask for suggestions, I can’t help myself. On the front of your flyer, I would eliminate the box that says beef and goats since that is obvious from the pictures. I would move Farm Stays to the beef and goats location. I would take all those QR codes off the boxes and have one box that is just the QR code in the spot where farm stays is. The barn pictures are ok but I think they would be better if they had happy people in them like the upper right picture. The interior one I would include just a happy couple suggesting the possibility of a more intimate use of the facility. The exterior one I would not use winter but in any case I would include some frolicking children to suggest another possible use. On the back side, I would delete the sentence under the box that starts with “It’s everywhere…” it seems a bit preachy. In the next sentence, I would delete “That’s why” and start with “On our farm…” I hope you find something useful in my suggestions. I can’t carry a tune in a bucket so I have no song suggestions. Good luck to you.
How cute Beth. Love how you are open to trying new and different marketing strategies!
